It would appear that the current corporate UK plc government policies on Council Tax and the 'Bedroom Tax' are heading into widespread dissent and criticism!
"David Orr, chief executive of the National Housing Federation, said the
tax would harm the lives of hundreds of thousands of people. It comes
into force this week alongside a range of other tax and benefit changes.
"The
bedroom tax is one of these once-in-a-generation decisions that is
wrong in every respect," he said. "It's bad policy, it's bad economics,
it's bad for hundreds of thousands of ordinary people whose lives will
be made difficult for no benefit – and I think it's about to become
profoundly bad politics."

"The leader of Clackmannanshire Council has said the authority is braced
for the "devastating fallout" it expects changes to the welfare system
to bring.
Councillor Gary Womersley said the council "would be the ones left to

"The committee – whose members include Aberconwy Conservative MP Guto
Bebb and Blaenau Gwent Labour MP Nick Smith – has today published
further concerns as the Government attempts to save £6.2bn by 2014-15.
Their report states: “At the time of the Committee’s evidence
session, awareness of the reforms and their impact was worryingly low
amongst those who will be directly affected.”
